TERMS & CONDITIONS

By booking your place at this event you are entering into a binding agreement. We will confirm your booking within two working days. If you do not receive confirmation within this time, please contact us to confirm your booking. You are advised to take out appropriate travel insurance, as we will not accept any liability for travelling, accommodation or other expenses incurred as a consequence of a possible event cancellation or postponement. In any event, the Fresh Produce Consortium (FPC) will not accept liability for any loss, including incidental or consequential damages etc.

It may be necessary for reasons beyond the control of the organisers to alter the venue and content, or the timings of the programme.

Payments

Online card payment can be selected at the time of booking. Please note online card payments cannot be made if the invoice option is chosen at time of booking. If pay by invoice is selected at the time of booking, an invoice will be sent to the named contact for payment to be made via BACS. A month prior to the event, the pay by invoice option will be removed and payment can only be made online by card.

Cancellations

We are unable to arrange a refund if you cancel. If you need to discuss your booking, please contact info@freshproduce.org.uk 

Event Cancellation

If the event is cancelled by FPC, a full refund will be made of any booking fees paid. However, if the event is postponed for reasons beyond the direct control of FPC, this booking will be transferred to the revised date of the event and all these Terms and Conditions shall apply to any such transferred booking.

COVID-19 Obligations

All Companies shall ensure that no employee, worker, contractor, subcontractor, or any other representative of the Company (“Representative”) will be permitted to attend the Event on behalf of the Company if they are displaying any symptoms of COVID-19. Before commencing the services hereunder, the attending Company shall procure that its Representatives shall familiarise themselves with and comply with FPC’s health and safety policy as provided to the attending Company for the Event. The Company agrees and shall procure that the Representatives agree that this is an ongoing obligation that extends to any additional policies, procedures, or measures that the Fresh Produce Consortium may put in place from time to time in respect of its response to COVID-19 and which are provided to the attending Company in writing.

All attending Companies unconditionally acknowledges and shall procure that the Representatives acknowledge that there is an element of risk of exposure to COVID-19 associated with any form of participation in an activity involving other individuals working at relatively close proximity. While the Fresh Produce Consortium shall adhere to the health and safety protocols and follow all risk assessment recommendations to minimise the risk of exposure to COVID-19, the attending Company acknowledges and shall procure that the Representatives acknowledge that there remains a possibility that the Representatives may come into direct or indirect contact with COVID-19 and the attending Company shall procure that the Representatives freely and willingly agrees to participate in the Event in this knowledge.

“Force Majeure” shall mean any circumstances outside FPC’s reasonable control including, without limitation, war, act of terrorism, riot, civil commotion, strike, lockout or any other industrial action, epidemics/pandemics including but not limited to COVID-19, Act of God.

FPC shall have no liability for costs, expenses, damages, or losses arising as a result of the Company or any Representative of the Supplier being refused entry to an Event in accordance with this agreement.

VOTING

The confidentiality of each voter's choice will be maintained throughout the voting process, in accordance with applicable privacy laws and regulations.

Comments provided by voters may be used as testimonials for promotional purposes; however, any identifying information will be anonymized or removed to preserve the privacy of the individuals involved

The voting process will be conducted in a fair manner, with the voting period clearly defined in advance, allowing sufficient time for participation. Unique and valid votes will be counted towards the final tally.

The shortlist of the voting will be announced publicly once the voting period has ended with the winners being revealed on the night.

The decision announced following the combination of the voting process, the judges' industry expertise and available supporting information is final and binding. The FPC judging panel reserve the right to make the final determination based on the results obtained during the voting period. Once the decision has been announced, no further discussions or appeals regarding the outcome will be entered into.
